ASSISTANT OR ASSOCIATE CLINICAL PROFESSOR SCHOOL OF SOCIAL WORK (Position located at the Pappajohn Education Center in Des Moines) POSITION TO BEGIN AUGUST 19, 2026 The University of Iowa, School of Social Work seeks a clinical assistant or associate professor (9-month appointment, academic year) with expertise in social work practice, to teach primarily evening courses in person and online, and engage in professional productivity, practice, and service in the Pappajohn Education Center in Des Moines. The School offers programs at the B.A., M.S.W., and Ph.D. levels with faculty scholarship foci in the areas of aging, child welfare, behavioral and mental health, and organizations and communities. In addition to programs on our main Iowa City campus, the School maintains MSW programs in Des Moines, Sioux City, and an online program serving all of Iowa and surrounding states. We are seeking a person to instruct graduate-level courses. This position is based in Des Moines, with occasional travel to other centers.
