This role can be done from any of our offices across the United States or remotely from home. It's about impact, not location. An Americas Training Manager is responsible for developing, leading and delivering educational strategy both in-person and digitally across the Americas Region to our residential and professional partner audiences. This role will act as both an educator and a strategic leader within the market. This role will also manage a team of both retail and professional focused educators as they execute on the strategy to drive growth. They will create a working environment that fosters diversity of perspectives while acting as a group to achieve goals. What You'll Do:
Drive educational engagement with both retail and professional audiences in the Americas market by creating and executing on a clear strategy. In collaboration with the Professional and Retail Account Management team, ensure that all partners are educated on product and software updates throughout the year, reinforcing brand trust. This work will include achieving revenue goals for these partners and collaboration during quarterly business reviews. Present engaging educational content verbally to both small and large audiences in a variety of formats. These formats include in-person events and meetings, live and pre-recorded webinars, on-camera video training, and live trade show events. Manage the operational output and development of the team members that are being led in an empathetic and clear way. Oversee the educational on-boarding of new Sonos partners, to establish them as high quality and motivated partners. This would include the management of local training plans, certifications, and collaboration of learning platforms. Travel within the Americas region to manage training events with team members. Be responsible for any agency and third-party labor management within the region. This management would include team meetings, performance reviews, team strategy, as well as team budget and contracts. Manage the team's operational budget and local resource contracts. Provide guidance in the creation of educational content such as Google Slides / PowerPoint presentations, on-demand learning modules, video and presentation scripts, on-camera training videos. Speak the operating languages of the audiences we connect with: Professional residential/commercial audio-video installation, retail consumer electronics, and more. Navigate and deploy different communications styles dependent on the audience. Work in a fast paced, ever changing environment that requires flexibility and compassion for both partners and internal teams. Collaborate remotely and in-person with training leadership to innovate how the Sonos Global Education Team connects with our audiences to make our training activities the most enjoyable and fulfilling educational experiences in the industry. Communicate with our partners outside of training events to answer questions and clarify key topics. Capture and analyze audience feedback from training activations and communicate actionable insights to relevant teams (product, marketing, etc) during and outside of quarterly business reviews. Keep up with industry trends and technology to ensure that the team is the authority on any topic that complements or competes with Sonos. Continually practice presentational skills to maintain training performance at an elite level. Continue to build on the legacy of "best in class" training moments that Sonos has delivered over the last 10+ years.
What You'll Need: Basic Qualifications
3+ years of direct people management experience, with a proven track record of coaching, developing, and motivating a geographically dispersed team. Effective experience building educational strategies for various types of learners Demonstrated experience, and success with enthusiastic public speaking and on-camera presentations Effective experience in the residential and commercial audio-video industry. Effective experience in communicating knowledge to others Demonstrated ability to lead projects from incubation to completion Language fluency in English The ability to travel throughout the United States, Mexico, Canada, Central and South America to educate, visit employees, and attend educational events.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of experience in technical training, sales enablement, or learning and development within the consumer electronics, AV, or technology hardware industries. Demonstrated experience developing and delivering training programs for both retail sales associates (B2C) and professional installers/dealers (B2B) Experience in audio video retail, installation, or design Training certifications from CEDIA, AVIXA, and the NAHB Advanced experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) administration and e-learning authoring tools Proficiency in writing in a clear and conversational style Humility to identify opportunities in oneself and the team A passion for consumer and professional electronics Experience collaborating with teammates and cross-functional teams Proficient in Microsoft Powerpoint and Google Slides Proficiency in Adobe Suite, specifically Adobe Premiere A curiosity to learn new skills and a dedication to master those skills. Highly organized and able to deliver multiple projects at the same time. Additional language fluency in Spanish and French A love of the music and home theater experiences

$115,000 and $143,800
The specific pay offered will depend on the candidate's geographic location, as well as qualifications and experience. We apply geographic pay differentials based on the cost of labor in the market. Employees in high-cost locations may be compensated at the upper end of the range, while those in medium or low cost markets may be compensated at the lower end of the range.
