The Department of Radiological Sciences is dedicated to conducting leading-edge research, providing the highest quality clinical education and delivering state-of-the-art care to our patients through the advanced diagnosis and treatment of disease through biomedical research. The department performs approximately 200,000 radiological exams per year through the utilization of all imaging modalities which include conventional radiography, angiography, ultrasonography, CT, MRI and nuclear medicine.


Your Role on the Team

Administration, coordination and support of non-ACGME accredited fellowship programs in the Department of Radiological Sciences. Management of these non-ACGME fellowship programs by ensuring that annual requirements are met, educational activities which support the curriculum are maintained, and supports all non-ACGME fellows. Demonstrate initiative to improve quality and customer service by striving to exceed fellow expectations. Prepare a variety of documentation associated with program operations; distributes documentation or retains records as appropriate.

Maintain computerized and hard-copy files of program records. Incumbent will support multiple fellowship programs across nine subspecialities.


What It Takes to be Successful

Required:

  • Basic knowledge of relevant policies and regulatory requirements. Basic knowledge of health professions education industry.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to develop working relationships within department and with learners.
  • Excellent organizational skills, analytical, and demonstrated attention to detail. Ability to work with extremely complex faculty calendars / schedules requires extremely well organized and detail-oriented precision.
  • Investigative, data analysis, and reporting skills. Ability to generate computer reports, checking for errors, correcting and submitting accurate reports. Skills include entering, maintaining, extracting, and analyzing data in electronic systems.
  • Ability to confirm and adjust to last minute schedule changes.
  • Ability to initiate, respond, complete and follow up on special requests and projects.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to be sensitive to different cultures and backgrounds.
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
  • 3-5 years of related work experience

Preferred:

  • Basic knowledge of administrative analysis and operations research. Acquiring skills in developing and implementing processes and systems. Familiarity with the administrative and operational implications in a program.
  • Communication skills; includes verbal, written and active listening. Service oriented and responsive to questions and requests. Ability to interact in a professional, resourceful, and courteous manner.
  • Knowledge of educational technology and systems. Ability to troubleshoot and triages related technology issues.
  • Working knowledge of ACGME, GME, and other Residency/Fellowship requirements and experience using NRMP and ERAS programs
