The University of Wisconsin-Parkside's Academic College invites applications for temporary/part-time adjunct instructors to teach on an as-needed basis in the Parkside Accelerated Online Learning program. Courses offered through this program are taught in an asynchronous, online format during sessions lasting for approximately seven weeks and based on the following schedule:

Fall term 1: September-October

Fall term 2: October-December

Spring term 1: January-March

Spring term 2: March-May

Summer term 1: May-July

Summer term 2: July-August

This is an open pool requisition. Qualified applicants may be selected from the pool to fill instructional needs as they arise. Hiring decisions are made based on departmental needs, course availability, and candidate qualifications.

Adjunct instructors may be assigned teaching responsibilities in one or more of the following areas, depending on program needs:

  • Accounting

  • Business

  • Business statistics

  • Communication

  • Computer Science

  • Criminal Justice

  • Economics

  • English

  • Environmental Studies

  • Finances

  • Geography

  • Geosciences

  • Human Resources

  • International Studies

  • Leadership

  • Liberal Studies

  • Management Information Systems

  • Marketing

  • Mathematics

  • Psychology

  • Sociology

  • Sport Management

  • Theatre

  • Work-based learning

Key Job Responsibilities:

Department:

Academic College

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degreein the subject areaOR

  • Bachelor's degreeand 18 graduate credits in subject areaOR

  • Bachelor's degree and relevant professional experience

  • Ability to teach online courses using a Learning Management System

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to use Canvas LMS
