In this role, you will investigate and assess the quality of services provided to individuals with intellectual disabilities as well as risk management, financial monitoring, and mandatory reporting. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this Quality Management, County Intellectual Disabilities Program Specialist 1 position, you will focus on reviewing and improving the quality of services provided to individuals with intellectual disabilities while managing data, reports, and program requirements. Work supports planning, monitoring, and coordination efforts across several county and state initiatives. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Quality Management Plan: Develop and implement a Quality Management Plan to measure, remediate, and improve performance in alignment with the Office of Developmental Program's strategies and priorities
  • Risk Management Framework: Gather data and coordinate the county risk management framework within required time frames
  • Serve as Certified Investigator: Conduct investigations; remain on call; complete document in accordance with the law, regulations, and internal policies; and prepare findings for review committees
  • Peer Review: Participate in quarterly peer review processes and meetings to support the accuracy and thoroughness of investigations
  • IM4Q Coordination: Lead the Independent Monitoring for Quality (IM4Q) process including surveys, data coordination, reporting, and collaboration with contracted agencies
  • Financial Monitoring: Cross check finances and complete annual fiscal contract reviews

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday. Occasional nights and weekends as needed as well as overtime.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of professional experience in the field of intellectual disabilities, and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
