Job Title: Computer Scientist 3 - Network Device Developer

Location: Annapolis Junction, MD - Onsite

Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (MD Poly)

Employment Status: Full-Time

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related technical discipline required

Overview

We are seeking a Computer Scientist 3 to support the Network Device Team on the SANDLOTBEAST contract. This position focuses on development and reverse engineering efforts supporting network device capabilities within a highly technical cyber operations environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in C development, reverse engineering, and Computer Network Operations (CNO) development focused on network devices and embedded systems.

This is a mission-focused engineering role supporting both new capability development and sustainment of existing operational technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support development of new and existing network device capabilities

  • Perform software development and reverse engineering activities within CNO environments

  • Contribute to low-level development efforts involving network appliances and embedded systems

  • Analyze and work with network protocols and device communications

  • Collaborate with cyber engineering teams supporting operational mission requirements

  • Assist with testing, debugging, vulnerability analysis, and technical problem resolution

Required Skills
  • Strong software development experience in C

  • Reverse engineering experience within cyber or CNO-focused environments

  • Experience supporting CNO development on network devices

  • Understanding of network protocols and communications

  • Experience working with routers, switches, firewalls, or related network appliances

  • Experience working within Real Time Operating System (RTOS) environments

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar technical field

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development or a closely related technical discipline

  • Minimum of 3 years supporting cybersecurity or CNO-specific development efforts

  • Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
