Visual Inspection Operator - Manufacturing & Quality Control

Location: Birmingham, AL

Pay: $25.00/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM (Overtime and future shift changes possible)

We are hiring a detail-oriented Visual Inspection Operator to support quality control and production operations in a manufacturing environment. This contract position is ideal for candidates with strong attention to detail, quality inspection experience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform manual visual inspection of finished products to identify defects and nonconformities
• Manipulate and inspect individual units according to strict quality standards and procedures
• Support product sampling, labeling, packaging, and routine production tasks
• Operate basic manufacturing equipment and follow detailed work instructions
• Assist with equipment setup, maintenance, and repair activities
• Maintain compliance with safety procedures, PPE requirements, and quality guidelines
• Record inspection data accurately and support overall production quality efforts

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required; higher education preferred
• Documentation of 20/20 near visual acuity or better required (no color blindness)
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Comfortable working with PPE and following strict manufacturing procedures
• Basic math and data recording skills required
• Strong attention to detail, focus, and communication skills
• Manufacturing, inspection, or quality control experience preferred
