What to Expect
This role supports workplace strategy, occupancy planning, and ongoing employee moves across multiple R&D buildings. The Workplace Space Planning Specialist will partner closely with architects and workplace leadership to transform occupancy and utilization data into actionable space plans. The ideal candidate is sharp with numbers, comfortable working in databases and spreadsheets, and thrives in a fast-moving environment where space reshuffles and data requests are continuous.

What You'll Do
  • Own and maintain Plans of Record by building, department, team, and location
  • Analyze occupancy data including headcount, square footage per person, utilization rates, and growth projections
  • Query, extract, and manipulate datasets to identify trends, surface anomalies, and support scenario modeling
  • Conduct building test fits and validate space layouts against business needs in partnership with architects
  • Support ongoing employee moves and reshuffles, balancing people's needs with business priorities
  • Build and present analysis using Excel and PowerPoint for senior leadership audiences
  • Support scenario planning for large populations (10K+ employees, VP organizations)

What You'll Bring
  • 3+ years of experience in workplace planning, occupancy planning, space strategy, or data-driven operations
  • Strong analytical foundation - comfortable working with structured datasets and translating numbers into clear recommendations
  • Advanced Excel and strong PowerPoint skills
  • SQL or equivalent data querying experience
  • Familiarity with BI or visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
  • Experience in R&D, tech campus, or large enterprise real estate environments
  • Strong communication skills; organized, proactive, and comfortable supporting senior leaders

    Expected Compensation
    $76,000 - $126,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
