City of Hope has an opening for an Assistant Professor in the Department of Hematology and Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • You will study how the microbiome can impact cancer, diabetes, and other life-threatening illnesses and treatment outcomes in these illnesses.

  • You will generate hypotheses based on patient biospecimens and preclinical models.

  • You will increase our understanding of how microbes can shape health and disease via effects on host cells and tissues.

  • You will identify and evaluate strategies to introduce, target or modulate microbes to potentially prevent or benefit these illnesses, improve response rates, or reduce toxicities

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include:

  • MD or PhD degree and have a demonstrable record of accomplishments, peer-reviewed publications and extramural funding in related research.

  • Experience in microbiome science.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Postdoctoral Training required.
