From your PASSION to ours

Lactalis U.S Yogurt, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Materials Planner based in Londonderry, NH.

As a material planner, you will be responsible for ensuring that the needed materials are available in the correct quantities and at the appropriate times to meet the production requirements. This role involves forecasting material needs, overseeing inventory levels, collaborating with suppliers, and aligning material availability with production timelines. The planner will evaluate material requirements, monitor inventory and manage the movement of materials throughout the process. Additionally, the material planner will collaborate with production, the material warehouse, corporate procurement, and other internal teams to align duties with the company's goals and values. The Material Planner will report to the Material Manager.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Analyze and order materials/pkg for Londonderry production within specified supplier lead time to ensure availability of materials to support production schedule
  • Conduct regular reviews of material demand to make necessary adjustments
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
  • Evaluate and forecast material requirements using SAP
  • Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries and resolve any supply issues
  • Manage obsolescence as products reach their end-of-life cycle
  • Monitor inventory levels and adjust orders to prevent shortages or overstocking
  • Participate in blocked material reviews and other weekly or bi-weekly project meetings
  • Plan and schedule material deliveries using the warehouse inbound report
  • Prepare quarterly material forecast to suppliers and corporate procurement
  • Recommend safety stock levels
  • Report in advance any shortages that will impact the production schedule
  • Resolve issues related to materials, including delays, quality issues or discrepancies in inventory
  • Review any AP discrepancies between receipt of goods and invoicing
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams for product development and production planning

  • Bachelor's degree or 3 years' experience.

Certifications and specific knowledge

  • The following certification is an asset for this role: CPIM
