Job Overview

Join our dynamic team as anAccount Manager dedicated to the mining industry, where you will play a crucial role in fostering and expanding our client partnerships. This position requires a proactive and strategic individual who thrives on building trusted relationships and delivering customized solutions that align with the operational goals of mining clients. As an integral part of our sales division, you will leverage your specialized knowledge of mining operations and challenges to enhance client satisfaction and promote sustainable business growth.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Establish and sustain robust and transparent relationships with assigned mining clients, serving as their dedicated point of contact to facilitate seamless communication and service delivery.
  • Deeply understand client mining operations, including procurement, maintenance, and production workflows, to provide tailored solutions that address challenges and advance their strategic objectives.
  • Identify and capitalize on upselling and cross-selling opportunities for products and services that meet evolving mining industry demands, ensuring alignment with client goals and business growth.
  • Work closely with internal cross-functional teams-sales, engineering, product development, and customer service-to coordinate efforts that meet or exceed client expectations and resolve any client issues related to mining equipment, consumables, or technical support.
  • Provide clients with timely and comprehensive updates via reports and presentations on key performance indicators such as production efficiency, cost optimization, equipment uptime, and safety enhancements to demonstrate value and inform strategic decisions.
  • Remain vigilant about emerging trends, innovations, and regulatory developments within the mining sector to proactively advise clients and position the company as an industry leader in solutions and compliance.
  • Manage contract negotiations and renewal processes with a keen focus on fostering win-win agreements that support long-term client partnerships and company profitability.
  • Conduct thorough analysis and monitoring of client-specific account metrics pertinent to mining operations, including equipment reliability, operational uptime, and adherence to environmental and safety standards.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and post-sale support, demonstrating commitment to client success and nurturing sustained client loyalty through responsiveness and expert guidance.
  • Contribute to strategic planning by providing insights gained from client feedback and market intelligence to influence product development and service offerings tailored to mining clients.


Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:



  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, mining engineering, or a closely related discipline that provides a solid foundation in both technical and commercial aspects of mining operations.
  • Minimum five years of direct experience within the mining industry, with a strong preference for candidates whose recent roles involve fieldwork, shop floor engagement, or service delivery, and who have a proven record of achieving or surpassing performance targets.


Highly Desirable Qualifications:



  • At least five years of professional experience in account management or sales specifically targeted at the mining sector, demonstrating a consistent track record of developing profitable client relationships and meeting sales objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex sales cycles, negotiate contracts, and engage with decision-makers across various levels of client organizations in the mining industry.
  • Proficiency in industry-specific software and digital tools that support client relationship management and operational analytics.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to establish and maintain strong rapport with clients and internal teams from diverse backgrounds.
  • Superior verbal and written communication proficiency, with the capability to convey complex technical mining concepts in clear and accessible language.
  • Strong organizational skills to effectively manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines in a fast-paced and demanding mining sector environment.
  • High attention to detail combined with analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities critical to addressing the unique operational challenges faced by mining clients.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office applications to support efficient account management and reporting.
  • In-depth knowledge of mining equipment, operational processes, safety protocols, and relevant regulatory frameworks to ensure compliance and support client needs effectively.
  • Experience with advanced mining technologies and software solutions is advantageous and will support innovation-driven client support.
