Job Description:

The Legal Talent Assistant will work closely with the Director of Professional Development and the Attorney Development Manager to provide logistical, reporting and administrative support of the Firm's training and professional development initiatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

These essential functions are primary job duties that incumbents must be able to perform unassisted or with some reasonable accommodation.

  • Assist members of the Professional Development team with organizing workshops, retreats, and other Firm programming.

  • Coordinate logistics, including responsibility for scheduling programs, creating/sending invitations, working with presenters, reserving conference rooms, handling audio visual arrangements, serving as the liaison to CLE coordinators firm-wide, etc.

  • Support the Firm's Mentoring Program

  • Maintain content on the Attorney Development intranet page

  • Maintain Firm training/event calendar

  • Handle the uploading and archiving of Firm training materials

  • Track information in spreadsheets, charts, and databases, as needed.

  • Assume other responsibilities as needed to support the Professional Development team.

  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

  • Be present at work during regularly scheduled working hours and as needed in the position, consistent with the Firm's attendance expectations.

SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Outstanding organizational and planning skills, written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, critical thinking, initiative and enthusiasm for innovation, a customer-service ethic, ability to work collaboratively in a multi-office law firm and a demonstrated commitment to professional development are all essential. Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.

SPECIFIC SKILLS PREFERRED

  • Knowledge of CLE rules and familiarity with CLE tracking databases (e.g. Required or Micron CE Manager) or other learning management systems preferred.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 1 year working in an administrative support role or equivalent required. Experience working in a law firm or professional services environment a plus.
