Position Title: Supervisor, Airport Operations - IAH
The AirportOperationsSupervisor leads, develops, andmaintainsstrategic relationships with JetBluecrewmembers, internal departments, andcustomers; depending on the specific station, this responsibility may extend tobusinesspartners as well. The Supervisor serves Airportscrewmembers as well asbusinesspartners, when applicable, throughtimelycoaching and mentoring,ultimately contributingto the successful development of a growing team environment. The Supervisor will collaborate and partner closely with the Manager(s) in the execution of the operational strategy to ensure the success of our customer interactions, control costs, drive revenue, and uphold safety standards.
The AirportOperationsSupervisor is a leadership role, directly overseeing and supportingcrewmembers responsible for the execution of JetBlue's Airport operation.The Airport Operations teamis responsible forsafely performing all processes above the wing, whererequired, including but not limited tocustomer check-in, tagging and accepting baggage, boarding of flights, connectingcustomers, irregular operations, station operations, and Baggage Service Office (BSO).
Essential Responsibilities
Accountable to senior leadership for monitoring and executing the safety and security programs at the station to ensure a safe and secure workplace forcrewmembers,customers,businesspartners, aircraft, facilities, and ground service equipment (GSE) (where applicable) -- responsible for meeting federal and local requirements.
Supports, coaches, and trains airport crewmembers, encourages engagement and takes a significant role in their development and growth achievement through effective performance management and ongoing constructive formal and informal feedback.
Ensures that policies and procedures are conductedin accordance withSystem Airports Performance and Quality (SAPQ)and applicable federal regulations and standards, including escalating any non-compliance to Leadership, and advising of any other escalated operational issues whilemonitoringevents.
Evaluates dailycrewmember shift schedules and assignments to ensure maximum efficiency during regular and irregular operations. Must be able to stay ahead of any potential staffing challenges during both regular and irregular operations. Additionally, Supervisor should be able to plot and assigncrewmembers to all applicable areas as needed.
Responsible for all training in theirBlueCity; including, initial and recurrenton the job training (OJT), regulatorytrainings, and all revised and new training initiatives for JetBluecrewmembersandbusinesspartners.
In partnership with the GM, prepare for external audits by theFederal Aviation Administration (FAA),Department of Transportation (DOT), and TSA.
Minimum Experience and Qualifications:
Three (3) years ofcustomer service, sales, or airline experience, OR one (1) year of JetBlueCustomer Experience (CEX)experience
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
Knowledgeable inFlight Load Monitoring (FLM), Blue Eye,Compliant Resolution Official (CRO),Ground Security Coordinator (GSC)

Identifysafety and/or security concerns, issues,incidentsor hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))
Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies,proceduresand risk controls
Informational Display Screen systems (RIDS, FIDS, BIDS, GIDS, SPIDS)
Moderate physical activity required by handling objects up to fifty (50) poundsfrequentlyand/or seventy to one hundred (70-100) pounds occasionally with theassistanceof other people or tools and being in a position where bending, crouching, kneeling, etc. is needed.
