As part of a collaborative team of six including providers, patient service specialists, technicians, and clinical staff, you'll support patients through a variety of ophthalmic services, including preventive eye care, treatment planning, patient education, and care coordination. You'll play an important role in ensuring patients feel informed, supported, and cared for throughout their experience.New graduates willbenefit from a supportive team environment committed to mentorship, collaboration, and professional development. This role is ideal for nurses who enjoy patient education, attention to detail, teamwork, and developing long-term relationships with patients. This is a Registered Nurse 1 vacancy open to candidates with 0 - 1 year of RN work experience. For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering up to $10,000 Sign-on bonus for all eligible Registered Nurses with 0-2 years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of experience! Summary: The MH Registered Nurse I -Ophthalmologyrole provides high-quality care to patients and families calling or presenting for care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, and performs a wide variety of patient care services to assist physicians/advanced practice practitioners in delivering excellent care to patients of the practice. MH RN I: This level represents the beginner in their clinical role. This care team member has less than 12 months experience and is primarily developing the required knowledge and skills to work within their setting. Level I must achieve all performance expectations, by completion of facility and unit orientation, and satisfactorily completing the introductory period.
