Position Summary

The Messaging Senior Analyst is responsible for the administration, security, availability, and continuous improvement of Parker's enterprise messaging environment across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid platforms. This role supports stable, secure, and compliant messaging services while driving operational excellence through incident response, automation, change control, and documentation.

Role Scope

The Messaging Senior Analyst manages and supports Parker's core messaging platforms and related service dependencies, including:

  • Microsoft Exchange Servers
  • Microsoft Exchange Online / M365
  • Proofpoint Cloud Gateways
  • RightFax
  • Active Directory
  • PowerShell - administration and automation

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer Exchange mailbox services, mail flow, connectors, certificates, retention settings, permissions, and compliance-related configurations.
  • Support Exchange Online and hybrid messaging, including routing, identity integration, coexistence, and operational runbooks.
  • Manage Proofpoint security policies for spam, malware, impersonation protection, content filtering, and URL or attachment defence.
  • Maintain SMTP relay and fax services, troubleshoot delivery and policy issues, and drive timely resolution of service-impacting incidents.
  • Monitor service health, capacity, availability, and performance risks; participate in incident response, restoration, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • M365 Enterprise apps Client support.
  • Execute changes through approved change control, including testing, validation, and back-out planning.
  • Maintain SOPs, runbooks, knowledge articles, diagrams, and operational documentation in Teams and SharePoint.
  • Support security monitoring, audit requests, retention/eDiscovery tasks, and service reporting.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related area (or international equivalent)
  • 4+ years related IT experience
  • Proven experience administering:
    • Exchange On-Premise
    • Exchange Online
    • Proofpoint PoD
    • Proofpoint PPS
    • RightFax
  • PowerShell scripting and automation capability.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, identity and access controls, groups, permissions, and directory integration.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across mail flow, authentication, DNS, certificates, transport, and client access.
  • Ability to create clear technical documentation and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with hybrid Exchange environments, migrations, and coexistence.
  • Knowledge of messaging security, monitoring, alerting, and log analysis.
  • Experience coordinating with vendors and managing third-party escalations.
  • Relevant technical certifications.

Working Conditions / On-Call

  • Participating in an on-call rotation for after-hours incidents and maintenance activities.
  • Work may include scheduled maintenance windows and time-sensitive troubleshooting during service-impacting events.

Physical / Travel Requirements

  • Primarily office-based work.
  • Occasional travel may be required for site support, project activities, or team meetings (as applicable).
