What to Expect
Tesla is seeking a motivated, experienced, and knowledgeable Supply Chain Program Manager to support the planning, warehousing, and delivery of materials across multiple manufacturing and infrastructure programs (including TeraFAB, Cybercab, Optimus, and Vehicle Programs). This person will be responsible for driving supply chain readiness from early concept through production ramp and successful handoff to sustaining teams. This person will also be responsible for high visibility one off supply chain improvement projects. NPI support for new program launches, alongside ongoing program execution, risk management, and cross-functional delivery.The role requires cross-functional integration, scope definition, budget/schedule oversight, stakeholder alignment, and process improvement-while ensuring reliable material supply for complex, large-scale initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Support programs
from early phases through production ramp and transition to sustaining teams; own transition plans for parts and materials to ongoing production - Work with external
suppliers to establish appropriate delivery schedules for individual components (specifying quantity and frequency) targeting on-time delivery; coordinate with Supply Chain, Logistics, and other functions as needed - Own leadership
communication on program status to all key stakeholders (program management, PMI, engineering, supply chain, and executive leadership). Identify and drive improvement projects and process enhancements - Ensure BOM accuracy
by working with engineering, PMI, and document control teams. Maintain accurate MRP data to reflect confirmed delivery quantities and due dates from suppliers; validate, troubleshoot, and resolve discrepancies - Collaborate with
Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, Logistics, and suppliers to build and maintain supply vs. demand plans and dashboards. Communicate progress to stakeholders up to C-suite level, resolve issues, and scale processes for future programs - Drive program
approval and funding through executive alignment and business case development where supply chain scope impacts overall program investment - Support prototype,
pre-production, and production phases as needed, including NPI launches for new programs
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in
Engineering (Electronics/Electrical preferred), or equivalent experience - 5+ years related
experience in materials management, production planning, material scheduling, or purchasing in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3+ years in a program/project management capacity - 10+ years total in
program/project management preferred, including experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives (ideally in high-tech, or semiconductor-adjacent manufacturing) - Proficiency in MS
Excel (including ability to maintain and enhance Excel-based material shortage reports) and familiarity with project management tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent) - Strong analytical
capabilities, including ability to optimize delivery costs, inventory levels, and overall program performance - Knowledge of Product
Lifecycle Management (PLM) software, SAP enterprise systems, inventory management systems (e.g., MES), and EVMS or similar is a plus.PMP or equivalent certification is a strong plus - Technical foundation
in manufacturing processes and infrastructure considerations is highly desirable

Expected Compensation
$84,000 - $324,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
