What to Expect

Tesla is seeking a highly motivated Engineering Technician
to join our Electrode Manufacturing team. In this critical hands-on role, you
will support the development and optimization of our next-generation dry
electrode processes. You will work closely with Manufacturing Engineers on
process development, equipment commissioning, troubleshooting, and continuous
improvement initiatives to help scale high-quality battery electrode
production.

This is a fast-paced, high-impact position ideal for someone
who thrives in a dynamic manufacturing environment and is passionate about
building the future of sustainable energy.


What You'll Do
  • Support the development, commissioning, and ramp of dry
    electrode manufacturing processes (calendaring, lamination, slitting, etc.)
  • Operate and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment while
    ensuring process stability and high product quality
  • Perform data analysis using SPC, interpret process
    capability, and drive corrective actions
  • Write and update Manufacturing Instructions (MIs) and
    support process documentation
  • Collaborate with engineers on equipment validations, process
    improvements, and root cause analysis
  • Train and provide leadership to Production Associates on
    equipment operation and safety procedures
  • Escalate issues appropriately to shift supervisors,
    managers, and quality teams
  • Support continuous improvement projects focused on yield,
    uptime, and process efficiency

What You'll Bring
  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience in a pilot line or
    high-volume production environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong command of the English language, both written and
    verbal
  • Experience interpreting SPC, Process Capability, and Gauge
    R&R
  • Knowledge of SQL, Python, or Jupyter Notebook is a plus
  • Experience with basic material fabrication (3-axis mill,
    lathe, etc.) is a plus
  • Knowledge of CAD and GD&T is a plus

Essential Physical Demands

  • Ability to perform physically demanding work for up to 12
    hours per day
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours per day,
    including on varied and uneven surfaces
  • Frequently lift, push, and carry up to 35 lbs (including
    carrying 20 lbs up and down stairs)
  • Ability to frequently bend, lift, reach, climb ladders, and
    work at heights
  • Ability to detect issues using sight, sound, and touch while
    wearing required PPE
  • Willingness to wear PAPR, safety glasses, bump cap, safety
    shoes, and other required PPE

    Expected Compensation
    $28.80 - $65.40/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
