SeniorSales Engineer

ASeniorSales Engineer atStrategyplaysa leadingrole inthesales of ourworld class enterprise platform.SeniorSales Engineers work closely with the sales teamand sales leadershipto manage existing clients and to cultivate prospective clients. The goal of the Sales Engineer is to secure the technical win through the creation ofhigh qualitytechnical content includingpresentations,demonstrations,Proofs of Conceptsand RFP responses.

Candidates should be located on the East Coast, as the role requires travel to clients throughout the region

Job Duties (include but not limited to):

  • Independentlydevelops and delivers outstandingStrategypresentations and demonstrations that range from standard to customand complexdemonstrations.

  • EffectivelycommunicateswithseniorITandbusinessdecision makers. Confident even in tense or adversarial situations.Leads conversations in a professional, deliberate,persuasiveand coordinated manner.

  • Coordinates and manages- across organizations -all aspectsof pre and post sales activities in alignment withsales objectives.

  • ParticipatesinStrategy's annualconferenceand other marketingeventswhile actively attracting prospects and clients to these events.

  • ContributesBest Practices toSales Engineering Economyon a constant basis.

  • Hasconsiderable technicalexpertiseon allStrategytechnologyas well as complementary technologies such as Data modeling, security, Big Data, etc.

  • Has considerable knowledgeandprovidesvaluable answers,responsesand artifacts ontop competitors.

Job Requirements

  • BS degreeand a minimum of 5years of related work experience (e.g., presales, sales, marketing, consulting, and/or training).

  • Experience with BusinessAnalyticssystems or relational database management systemsa majorplus.

  • Strong verbal and written communicationskills:needs analysis, positioning, business justification.Ability to translate technical advantages into business benefits.

  • Ability to present with confidence andsuccessfullyhandlesobjections and controls the audience.Ability to articulate complex topicstonovice, technical and/or business audiences.

  • Demonstrable ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments using professional concepts and companyobjectivesto resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.Ability to execute multiple tasks successfully and breakdown complex assignment into manageable tasks. Demonstrable experience in a project team lead role.

  • Successful completion ofStrategycertification program upon employment.

  • Ability to travel as needed.
