Lockbox Equipment Operator

Location:

Hours: M-F: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, plus OT as needed

Pay Rate: 18.00-23.08 depending on location and job experience

Fully Onsite: Central Avenue, Cincinnati, OH

The Lockbox Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining high-speed mail extraction and processing equipment in a lockbox environment. This role ensures the accurate and efficient handling of incoming payments and remittance documents while meeting productivity, quality, and security standards.

• Operate mail extraction and processing machines (e.g., OPEX or similar equipment) to open, sort, and prepare incoming mail.
• Feed mail into automated equipment and monitor machine performance to ensure continuous workflow.
• Identify and escalate machine issues, jams, or malfunctions to supervisors or maintenance teams.
• Ensure proper separation and handling of checks, remittance slips, and correspondence.
• Maintain accuracy while meeting daily production and quality targets.
• Follow strict security and confidentiality procedures when handling financial documents.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks such as cleaning equipment and clearing jams.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Assist with manual mail extraction and special handling as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in a lockbox, mailroom, or production environment preferred.
• Experience operating automated mail extraction or processing equipment is a plus.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn processing systems.

• Dependability and strong work ethic.

• Production-based, high-volume lockbox or mail processing facility.
• Requires standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks.
• May involve lifting trays or containers of mail (up to 25-30 lbs).
• Shift work, including evenings, weekends, or overtime, may be required.
