General Purpose

The Wealth Management Seasonal Associate is an entry level position that will contribute to Alpine Bank Wealth Management's Investment, Operations, and Administrative functions. The chosen candidate will work closely with other Associates and Officers, gaining valuable insight into the Wealth Management business. This is a seasonal, non-benefitted position.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Establishes a working relationship with internal team members through effective communication.
  • Develops industry foundation using available training programs and tools.
  • Gains understanding of Alpine Bank Wealth Management products and services.
  • Provides support to internal staff, such as, but not limited to, applying academic techniques for investment analysis, preparing and reviewing reports/meeting materials, scheduling meetings, data entry, shadow meetings, etc.
  • Uses software applications to accomplish daily tasks with minimal errors.
  • Initiates communication with clients and prospects to gather information needed to resolve concerns.
  • Gains knowledge of the market, competition, profitability, and aligning department work with strategic goals.
  • Regular and reliable on-site attendance is required as an essential function of this position.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:



  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Good time management. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer service-oriented individual.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work as a team player.
  • Intermediate mathematical skills.
  • Understanding and application of banking and wealth management compliance regulations.
  • Understanding how to identify and make recommendations to address problems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including, but not limited to, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.


Education or Formal Training:



  • High School Diploma or General Educational Diploma (GED) equivalency required.
  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A) in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration required, either in process or complete.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Colorado Drivers' License required.


Experience:



  • Basic knowledge of wealth management and an understanding of financials preferred.



Working Conditions

Working Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, multifunction printers, and filing cabinets. Prolonged periods of standing and/or sitting. Ability to function in a fast-paced environment. Occasional travel to branch locations may be necessary.

Physical Activities:

These are representative of those which must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This is largely a sedentary role. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Employee may have to lift up to 25 pounds.

Starting Rate of Pay is between $20.50 and $25.50 per hour, depending on experience.
