The Department of Anesthesiology provides state-of-the-art care supporting USC surgical, pain and critical care patients. Behind the success of the Department's clinical service is a unique and highly talented administrative team. USC Department of Anesthesiology is seeking an Office Assistant. Working directly under the supervision of the Office Manager, the Office Assistant is responsible for supporting daily administrative operations and front desk activities. Key duties include greeting visitors, managing the department's main phone line, processing reimbursements for faculty, trainees, and staff, handling accounts payable transactions, and assisting faculty with various ad hoc administrative requests. The successful candidate will be motivated, pro-active, resourceful, and detail-oriented. The position requires excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to be decisive and adaptable. Candidates should have experience with performing administrative duties, demonstrate professional etiquette in both verbal and written communications, and possess proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. This position is 100% on-site and employee must report to work at the USC Health Science Campus in Los Angeles, CA. Work hours may be subject to change depending on business needs. The hourly rate range for this position is$21.00 - $24.00. Minimum Education: High school or equivalent, Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education Minimum Experience: 3 years Minimum Field of Expertise: General office experience and proficiency in the following: data entry, typing/wordprocessing, filing, and basic math skills for assigned business tasks.
