About the Opportunity

DMI is looking for an Ops Support Engineer - Roybal Data Center to provide onsite support to the CDC Roybal Data Center to monitor and maintain the hardware/software/structured (CAT3,5,6) & fiber optic cabling technical service and support, installation, configuration, and problem resolution in a PC/network/infrastructure environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

    Experience in a data center, network operation center, help desk, or a similar role.
  • Experience with operating systems and networking protocols.
  • Experience in maintenance and monitoring of server systems.
  • Monitor and identify events proactively, resolving issues
  • Report all service-impacting issues within 5 minutes of detection
  • Respond & resolve customer escalations within the SLA window
  • Turn up customer applications & services in accordance with standard procedures
  • Open and track to resolution carrier and internal tickets
  • Internal & external incident notifications
  • Monitor Network Security and report and document any breaches.
  • Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly maintenance procedures and defined in the Operational Guidelines
  • Gather and report data on the health and operation


Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience:

  • AA, B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years Data Center and Infrastructure experience, with 5+ years of Supply Chain and Logistics experience
  • Experience collaborating with individuals across internal and external organizations, other geographies
  • Execute multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
  • Must be "hands-on" and willing to roll up sleeves to support operational activities.
  • Experience working with and troubleshooting hardware, software or network-related issues using Linux-based tools.
  • Experience in troubleshooting OS, network equipment, and software.
  • Experience with coding, systems administration, or scripting.
  • Ability to manage changing priorities.
  • Ability to collaborate and partner with people and teams to overcome issues.
  • Able to work night shift hours
  • Data center / Infrastructure / Cloud experience

Background Requirements: Must possess or be eligible to obtain and complete a Public Trust background investigation and/or a Public Trust clearance.

Citizenship Status Required: Must be a U.S. Citizen
