Hillcrest Hospital South is Tulsa's only ANCCdesignated Pathway to Excellence hospital, with an accredited nurse residency program and ANCC recognition for Nursing Continuing Professional Development.
  • Coordinates, develops and implements the Hillcrest Hospital South Stroke Program.
  • Collaborates with ED, stroke team, physicians and all clinicians throughout the continuum of care to assess and analyze outcome data and promote quality stroke outcomes.
  • Facilitates nursing and ancillary department education regarding stroke.
  • Assists with education, and marketing at community level including but not limited to external hospitals, EMS and referring physicians.
  • Works with medical staff on stroke order set and protocol development within hospital.
  • Acts as the management representative for DNV Primary Stroke Center certification with responsibility for ensuring the requirements of the stroke management system are implemented and maintained at Hillcrest Hospital South.

Job Requirements:

  • Associates in Nursing (ADN)
  • Oklahoma RN License
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
  • 1-3 years of experience - Experience with typing policy & procedures, stroke order sets, stroke education materials, stroke care coordination meeting minutes, entering stroke data into stroke registry, entering quality indicators into weekly/monthly

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (BSN)
