Description and Requirements

Role Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for leading the execution of client-facing IT services projects within the North America Professional Services organization. This role operates within the Program Management framework, ensuring delivery consistency, governance, and alignment with standard processes, tools, and reporting mechanisms.

The Project Manager will manage multiple concurrent engagements, working closely with technical teams, customers, and the Program Management team to deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget, while maintaining a high standard of customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of client-facing IT services projects, from initiation through closure
  • Execute projects in alignment with Program Management standards, processes, and governance frameworks
  • Identify and track project dependencies and prerequisites to ensure execution readiness
  • Collaborate with technical leads to define project scope, milestones, timelines, resource needs, and risks
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, tracking performance against approved baselines
  • Act as primary point of contact for customers, ensuring clear communication of scope, deliverables, and expectations
  • Monitor project financials, including budget tracking and adherence to initial costing and margin targets
  • Identify, manage, and escalate risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as needed
  • Drive issue resolution by coordinating internal teams, support resources, and third-party vendors
  • Provide consistent and structured status reporting to clients, delivery leadership, and Program Management
  • Ensure timely completion of project documentation, deliverables, and closeout activities

Operating Model Alignment

  • Works under the direction of the Program Management team for governance, reporting, and prioritization
  • Executes projects using standardized templates, tools, and delivery frameworks
  • Contributes to continuous improvement of delivery processes and operational efficiency
  • Supports scalability of delivery operations through consistent execution practices

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management experience in IT or technical services environments
  • Proven experience managing client-facing delivery engagements
  • Strong written communication skills (status reporting, executive communication, customer updates)
  • Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal)
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent)
  • Experience managing project financials (budget tracking, cost control, margin awareness)
  • Experience working with cross-functional and third-party delivery teams
  • Familiarity with enterprise technologies such as HCI, VDI, data migration, and cloud solutions
  • Experience with Microsoft tools (Teams, Dynamics 365, Project, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Exposure to contract management, negotiation, or customer engagement processes
This role offers the flexibility to be home-based anywhere in the United States. If you're near our Chicago or Raleigh offices, we follow a friendly hybrid model with three days a week in the office - great for collaboration and connection!
The base salary range budgeted for this position is $90,000 to 130,000. Individuals may also be considered for bonuses and/or commissions. Lenovo's various benefits can be found at [1] www.lenovobenefits.com.
