We are seeking a customer-focused and detail-oriented Personal Lines Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our growing insurance team. The Personal Lines CSR serves as a primary point of contact for clients, providing exceptional service and support for personal insurance accounts, including auto, home, umbrella, renters, and other personal lines policies.

The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and committed to delivering an outstanding customer experience while building strong relationships with clients, insurance carriers, and agency staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide prompt, courteous, and professional service to clients via phone, email, and in person.
  • Assist clients with policy changes, endorsements, billing inquiries, coverage questions, and claims support.
  • Process new business applications, policy renewals, cancellations, reinstatements, and policy updates.
  • Review policies for accuracy and ensure client information is current and complete.
  • Prepare quotes and proposals for new and existing clients.
  • Identify coverage gaps and cross-selling opportunities while educating clients on available insurance products.
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation within the agency management system.
  • Communicate effectively with insurance carriers to resolve underwriting, billing, and policy issues.
  • Support retention efforts by delivering proactive customer service and fostering long-term client relationships.
  • Stay informed of carrier guidelines, underwriting requirements, and industry changes.
  • Assist agency team members with administrative and operational tasks as needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework preferred.
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Active Property & Casualty Insurance License preferred (or ability to obtain within a designated timeframe).
  • Previous insurance, customer service, or account management experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with agency management systems, Microsoft Office, and general computer applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
