Responsibilities

Howmet Whitehall Operation, Whitehall, MI facility has an opening for an Environmental Leader. Our Company's environmental, health, and safety (EHS) values along with our leadership's commitment provide the successful candidate with an excellent environment to work and deliver results. This position is a key member of the location's EHS Team.

Qualifications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
  • A minimum of 3 years of environmental experience in manufacturing or similar environment
  • A minimum of 1 year of leadership experience
  • Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS degree in environmental, health or safety related discipline
  • 5 years of environmental experience in manufacturing or similar environment
  • Experience with computer systems such as spreadsheets and technical applications
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret EHS regulations and standards and other technical reports and data
  • TRI and Tier 2 reporting experience
  • Ability to write reports, correspondence and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and employees
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete requirements in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret and apply Federal, State of Michigan and local regulations
