An Entry-Level Industrial Engineer supports the design, improvement, and implementation of efficient systems in manufacturing or service environments. They focus on optimizing processes, reducing waste, improving productivity, and ensuring quality while maintaining cost-effectiveness.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities
  • Analyze production processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies
  • Assist in developing and implementing process improvements
  • Conduct time studies and data analysis to optimize labor and operations
  • Support cost reduction initiatives and resource utilization efforts
  • Design layouts for equipment, workspace, and production lines
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, supply chain)
  • Collect, interpret, and report data to support decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Help implement lean manufacturing or Six Sigma practices
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and documentation
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Required

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field

Specific Skills & Knowledge

  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methods
  • Experience with CAD software or process simulation tools
  • Internship or co-op experience in manufacturing or operations
  • Knowledge of ERP systems or production planning tools
