The QA/QC Inspector will be responsible for performing incoming material inspections to ensure material meets design specifications and standards, most often in a clean room. When necessary, you will conduct quality control inspections of work-in-progress and finished products that will ultimately be used in the semiconductor industry. You will also play a key role in the handling of non-conforming material and our warranty process.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities
  • Reserve the right to reject any work that does not meet the expectation and/or quality requirements of the customer and the company.
  • Perform/Support the Incoming Inspection, build to print outsource process at DFS.
  • Perform/Support the Non-Conforming Materials (NCM) process at DFS.
  • Support defect tracking and root cause investigations with quality issues on production floor.
  • Oversee Warehouse NCM inventory and ensure material flagged as "return to vendor" is handled in a timely manner.
  • Perform/Support warranty process, ensuring prompt processing of claim forms and their associated NCMs.
  • Process and maintain Mill Test Reports (MTR) and Certificates of Conformance (CoC).
  • Perform/Support material inspections in a clean room environment.
  • Update and maintain test records.
  • Assist with creation and maintenance of QA QMS documentation.
  • Investigate customer complaints regarding quality issues and issue a corrective action report if required.
  • Communicate and work effectively with all members of the department in addition to other internal and external contacts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 2-year college degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience within a quality management system.

Specific Skills & Knowledge

  • Experience in a plastic and stainless-steel manufacturing operations environment.
  • Experience using a structured bill of material for construction.
  • Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Experience with inventory processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge and experience with QC practices.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Experience using ERP systems.
