Description

This inaugural Program Chair position will lead the development and launch of the Mental Health Counseling (MMHC) program from inception through accreditation and implementation. The Chair will provide strategic, academic, and operational leadership for all aspects of program development, ensuring alignment with accreditation standards, institutional requirements, and professional best practices. As the founding leader of the MMHC program, the Chair will play a critical role in shaping the program's vision, establishing its reputation, building community and professional partnerships, and creating a sustainable foundation for long-term growth and accreditation success. Compensation is determined based on the qualifications, experience, and circumstances of each hire. It is uncommon for employees to start near the top of the salary range. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a tuition waiver and reimbursement program, health insurance, paid time off, and a retirement savings plan. The salary range for this position is $89,250 to $120,750. Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include designing and developing the curriculum, creating policies, procedures, and assessment processes that support program quality and continuous improvement, and establishing systems that ensure compliance with all accreditation standards. The Chair will prepare and submit accreditation applications and reports, oversee the collection and analysis of assessment data, and implement quality assurance processes to support ongoing accreditation success. The Chair will recruit, hire, onboard, supervise, and evaluate faculty and subject matter experts, fostering a collaborative culture of academic excellence and student success. Additionally, the Chair will work closely with university leadership, admissions, student services, and instructional design teams to develop program infrastructure, support enrollment growth, and ensure a successful program launch.
