Responsibilities include coordinating patient flow, overseeing daily unit operations, supporting staff, and ensuring safe, high-quality, patient-centered care for pediatric patients and their families. The Charge RN promotes exceptional patient experiences, patient safety, quality outcomes, and efficient care delivery while serving as a clinical resource for the healthcare team. Key Responsibilities Provides shift supervision and direction for unit staff. Coordinates staffing, patient flow, and daily operations. Ensures safe, timely, effective, and family-centered care for pediatric patients. Serves as a clinical resource and mentor to nursing staff. Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care. Promotes patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance. Responds to complex patient care situations and unit emergencies. Supports effective communication with patients, families, and caregivers to promote positive outcomes and experiences.
