Job Description




As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Coordinator in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will bring integrity, teamwork, and reliability to every shift while helping people first in a dynamic, people-focused setting.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour

Job Schedule:

The exact schedule for this role has not been determined. That is common for this type of position and may depend on pre-hire steps that take time which could include the onboarding and training processes. If hired, your manager will work with you to determine your schedule based on business needs and your availability.

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or hazards in accordance with site protocols.
  • Support public-facing operations by maintaining a professional presence, assisting with directions and general inquiries, and coordinating with site personnel and/or first responders during incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Provide a DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton are preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
