We're hiringEmergency Medical Technicians (EMTs)that will respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance and deliver high-quality care, treatment, and customer service to patients.

- You must sign up or have already completed your Contra Costa County EMS Orientation Webinar. You can use the link below to sign up. Please notify Danyell.Walsh@gmr.netwhen this has been completed.

- If offered the position, you must have open availability based off of operational needs which will include weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities:

• EMTs provide an assessment of patients, determine necessary care and deliver emergency services by utilizing appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
• Document patient information, condition and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
• Take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Use appropriate EMT skills to provide care including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment and tools.
• EMTs operate an ambulance in conjunction with applicable company safety policies, and traffic laws related to the operation of emergency medical response vehicles.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow EMTs.

Other Responsibilities:

• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.

MinimumRequiredQualifications:PLEASE UPLOAD THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS LISTED BELOW, WITH COLORED PHOTOS. THE TITLE OF THE PHOTO SHOULD REFLECT THE TYPE OF DOCUMENT BEING SUBMITTED.

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) AND be at least 18 years of age.
• CA State EMT License (gray card)
• Medical Examiner's Certificate
• CA Ambulance Driver's License with the legible Issued Date shown on the card (can be handwritten)
• CA State Driver's License
• CPR/American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Card
• ICS 100, ICS 200, NIMS 700, ICS 800
• Provide confirmation of scheduled date for the EMS Orientation Webinar or certification of completion
• Driving record in compliance with AMR'sSafety & Driving policy (proof required if conditional employment offer is made).
• Pass Physical Agility Test (PAT)
• Proof of Vaccinations
• 6 months of ambulance experience

• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work independently and as a team member, employ discretion and confidentiality in sensitive areas, read, interpret, and follow instructions.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Strong listening and comprehension abilities.
• Adaptability to quickly evolving situations.
• Strong decision-making.

Salary Range:$26.64 - $42.93 DOE (This rate applies to 12-hour shifts and average 42 hours per week)
