Overview Nakupuna Solutions is looking for a Outbreak Officer II to support the Bureau of Global Health Security and Diplomacy (GHSD) that promotes global health security by working with foreign governments, the private sector, and civil society to prevent the spread of infectious diseases and respond effectively to outbreaks. The U.S. plays a leadership role in the Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA), a multilateral initiative involving nearly 70 countries, to strengthen health security across human and animal health. Responsibilities The following reflects management's definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. The Outbreak Officer II, assigned to HS/IDOR and reporting to the Deputy Director, plays a key role in supporting coordination efforts, contributing to preparedness activities, and assisting with the implementation of strategies. This full-time position involves facilitating interagency collaboration, organizing and coordinating meetings and events, and ensuring effective communication and information sharing. Additionally, the role requires attending meetings, providing input on documents, and participating in relevant task forces and training sessions.
Supports HS in its lead role for coordinating and guiding all Department bureaus in responding to global health and security issues, including international infectious disease outbreaks such as COVID-19, Ebola, and mpox.
Qualifications Skills/Qualifications: The Outbreak Office must possess a thorough understanding of public health policies, procedures, and regulations, with the ability to think strategically to identify and assess public health needs. Demonstrates strong communication skills, a commitment to public service, and the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. The Nakupuna Companies use a market-based compensation strategy to ensure that our employees are compensated within applicable market ranges commensurate with multiple factors, including but not limited to the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, and position location. The projected compensation range for this position is $115,000 to $122,000 (annualized USD). The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Nakupuna Companies' total compensation package for employees. | |||||||||
