Engineered Sales, Inc. (ESI), a trusted leader in fluid power and industrial solutions, is seeking a P1 Systems Engineer.

Position Summary

The P1 Systems Engineer develops and integrates electrical control, power energy storage, power electronics, and control architectures for controls and fluid power-based systems. This role partners with subsidiary teams to deliver safe, reliable, efficient control system solutions that meet performance, cost, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design electrical control architectures, system requirements, schematics, wiring drawings, and power control layouts.
  • Perform fluid power and electrical system modeling, architecture development, and simulation.
  • Review and analyze existing fluid power and control systems for potential system updates.
  • Integrate hardware and software across vehicle or equipment platforms.
  • Conduct verification, validation, troubleshooting, and performance analysis.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams on component selection and development.
  • Support prototype builds, testing, production launches, and engineering documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Fluid Power, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field.
  • 1+ years of machine-control software programming experience.
  • Experience with CoDeSys, C, C++, Plus 1 Guide, Power Vision, or LabVIEW.
  • Experience with systems engineering methods and requirements management.
  • Familiarity with CANalyzer, AutoCAD Electrical, and Peak or Kvaser CAN capture tools.
  • Familiarity in document control systems such as PDM (Product Data Management) /PLM (Project Life Management) based systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience in Industrial controls and automation, servo controls, PLC Logic, and Distributed control systems.
  • Experience with EVs, hybrid vehicles, energy storage, batteries, motors, inverters, chargers, DC-DC converters, and related subsystems.
  • Knowledge of ISO 26262, IEC 61508, UL, SAE, high-voltage systems, BMS, drives, power electronics, CAN networks, controls, and embedded software.
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and cybersecurity requirements for connected electrical systems.
