About the Role

We're looking for a Communications Coordinator II to provide leave coverage within our Global Brand Communications team, focused on running communications and supporting our running business. You'll be the go-to person for crafting and managing communications that reach both internal stakeholders and the media, helping tell our brand story in a fast-moving, event-driven environment.

The Details



  • Temporary through December 15, 2026
  • Hybrid schedule (Pacific timezone)
  • Travel required to events including Hood to Coast (August 28-29), Chicago Marathon (October 11), and After Dark Tour in LA (October 24)
  • Prior experience in this specific role at this athletic footwear company is a major plus for a smooth transition


What You'll Be Doing



  • Research, write, and edit press releases, fact sheets, speaking points, and other communications materials
  • Manage relationships with media contacts and stay current on industry happenings
  • Organize and manage assigned projects and events, including coordinating on-site support for special events, photo shoots, interviews, and press conferences
  • Create and execute PR plans in collaboration with PR agencies and freelancers
  • Support communications team brainstorms and contribute ideas to campaigns
  • Follow up with employees and partners, answer questions, and provide PR information as needed
  • Handle budget administration including invoicing, reporting, and finance coordination
  • Research media groups and assist your manager in media outreach strategy


What We're Looking For



  • 2-4 years of direct communications or PR experience, ideally in the sports industry and specifically running
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent: Masters + 0-3 years experience, Associates + 1-3 years, High School + 3-5 years, or advanced degrees with relevant background)
  • Demonstrated experience writing press releases or communications materials - bring a sample
  • Solid grasp of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to be flexible with scheduling and event attendance (including some weekend availability)


Nice to Have



  • Strong running knowledge and genuine passion for the sport
  • Previous experience at a PR agency or event management company
  • Prior experience in this industry that would help you hit the ground running
