Placement Type:

Temporary

Salary:

$44-48 Hourly

Start Date:

Jul 14, 2026

We're looking for a Technical Designer to own the fit and comfort of our core apparel products. You'll work directly with design, ensuring design intent is met while maintaining our fit, comfort, and quality standards throughout development. This is a hands-on position that requires someone who can jump in immediately and manage the technical design process from concept through final fit approval with manufacturing partners.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Execute the complete technical design process from development through final fit, including owning fittings and writing detailed fit comments and pattern corrections
  • Analyze garments and develop accurate fit specifications that align with product standards and manufacturer capabilities
  • Create technical specifications and communicate fit requirements to vendors and factories for approvals and corrections
  • Make real-time adjustments with factories to maintain design integrity while monitoring quality and hitting cost targets
  • Report to the Technical Services Manager; may direct Associate or Assistant Technical Designers as needed
  • Work closely with design teams to solve fit challenges and ensure we're building products our customers love

What We Need From You

  • 7+ years of technical design experience specifically in intimates or apparel (no exceptions here - we need someone ready to go from day one)
  • Hands-on experience participating in or owning fittings, including writing detailed fit comments and pattern corrections
  • Proficiency with Centric, Excel, Illustrator, and Flex PLM
  • Portfolio or examples showing detailed fit comments and completed tech packs (required during interview process)
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Ability to work onsite 4-5 days per week (100% onsite, no remote options)

The Personality We're Looking For

  • Approachable and empathetic - you work well with design, factories, and teams under pressure
  • Problem solver who looks for solutions, not blockers
  • Flexible and collaborative - you're open to new ways of working and bounce ideas around
  • Someone who maintains composure in a fast-paced environment and goes the extra mile

Not a Good Fit If You:

  • Aren't open to new ways of working or approaching challenges
  • Prefer working solo over collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Need a remote or hybrid arrangement

The Details

  • Hours: 32-40 hours per week
  • Schedule: Onsite 4-5 days per week (company computer provided)
