Website: www.austinoakshospital.com POSITION SUMMARY: Director of Plant Operations Role is one of Facility Fire Marshal, Safety Officer and Chairman of the Safety Committee and chief security officer.This position is responsible for initiating the emergency preparedness and operations programs for the Austin Oaks Hospital and acts as a liaison to the local community and state agency emergency management agencies.This position also exists to protect life and property of all persons on the hospital premises and to police the hospital grounds to prevent fire, theft, and vandalism.This position directs and coordinates activities of staff that will engage in repairs, maintenance and installation of plant equipment and infrastructure. This position assures the safety and security of buildings, utilities and grounds at all times. Success in this position is accomplished through utilization of shared services staff, cost effective labor,equipment and supplies. Responsibilities- but not limited to:

LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION: Valid Class C driver license; clean driving record. EXPERIENCE:
WORK HOURS: 40 per week and on-call. PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE JOB: Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand for sustained periods of time; walk, lift, pull objects from a lower to higher positions or horizontally from position to position; express or exchange ideas orally and potentially louder, accurately and quickly. Visual acuity is needed while cleaning to ensure work is being done correctly. Work is moderately heavy with frequent lifting and carrying objects weighting up to 50 pounds. Work involves considerable walking, standing, pushing, pulling or equipment. Position involves frequent reaching for and handling of cleaning tools, maintenance tools and equipment. Work is completed indoors and outdoors. Candidate must be able to assist in crisis intervention prevention with patients after completing crisis management orientation. Candidate must understand the possibility and methods of protection for exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
