University of Wisconsin-Platteville is seeking an Administrative Specialist - Interiors to join our Facilities Management team. the Administrative Specialist - Interiors is responsible for managing logistical operations of interior renovations and campus design projects. This includes, but is not limited to: project schedules, coordination with internal customers, vendor communication, invoice and budget management, additional responsibilities as requested by Facilities Management leadership. This position will also include some manual labor, paint/wall touch ups and furniture moving as required to complete assigned projects.
This is a full time, paid leave and benefits eligible position, with the expected starting pay beginning at $50,000, commensurate with experience.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage procurement activities related to design projects, including sourcing and purchasing materials and finishes
  • Support project coordination efforts by independently managing assigned design responsibilities
  • Assist in evaluating spatial requirements, assembling and arranging furniture
  • Assist in coordinating renovation and refurbishment projects from concept through implementation, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met
  • Assist in reviewing projects for affordability, consistency and completeness of design in conformity with plans and specifications
  • Research, develops, and formats project plans to ensure quality, functionality, and sustainability

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Business Administration or related field, from an accredited institution

  • 1-3 year's of administrative support

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, coordinate logistics, and support project timelines

  • Experience in design/project software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
