The Space Planning and Move Coordinator, within Facilities Planning, Design and Construction, manages relocation logistics for UC San Diego Health, serving as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders, moving vendors, and service providers. The role collaborates closely with Facilities Planners, Project Managers, Information Services, departmental move champions, and external moving companies to coordinate all aspects of Health-initiated relocations. Key responsibilities include developing move schedules, managing inventories, coordinating vendors, resolving issues, and ensuring seamless execution of office, clinic, and hospital department relocations. Following each move, the coordinator updates floor plans and departmental space records within the Facilities Information Management (FIM) system. In addition, the position conducts routine assessments of space utilization across UC San Diego Health-owned and leased facilities to maintain accurate space data in FIM. The role applies established facilities management principles, organizational policies, and standard procedures to support effective space planning and operational efficiency. Success in this position requires exceptional organizational, communication, customer service, and project management skills, along with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and effectively manage multiple concurrent projects. Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $79,200 - $143,400 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $37.93 - $68.68 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). | |
