Position Summary The UMKC - School of Dentistry seeks a motivated and patient-centered dentist to join its Acute Care Clinic faculty. This position is responsible for providing clinical supervision and instruction to predoctoral dental students in the evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and management of patients presenting with dental pain, infection, trauma, and other urgent oral health concerns. The Acute Care Clinic serves as the primary entry point for patients requiring urgent dental evaluation and works closely with the Predoctoral Endodontics and Oral Surgery programs. Faculty in this role will guide students through the triage process, facilitate comprehensive diagnostic assessments, and ensure patients receive appropriate emergency treatment or referral to specialty services when indicated. The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded general dentist with strong diagnostic skills and experience managing a broad range of acute dental conditions. Additional expertise or clinical experience in endodontics and/or oral surgery is highly desirable. Essential Responsibilities

Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications, experience and evidence of success in externally funded research.
