Overview/ Job Responsibilities
Position is contingent upon contract award and funding. Entarian is seeking an experienced Knowledge Management Lead to develop, implement, and maintain the program's knowledge management strategy supporting engineering, operations, and service delivery. The Knowledge Management Lead is responsible for establishing processes, tools, and governance that enable effective capture, organization, maintenance, and dissemination of technical and operational knowledge. This role works closely with engineering, operations, cybersecurity, program management, and government stakeholders to ensure critical information is readily accessible, current, and aligned with program objectives. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience supporting large-scale technical environments involving space systems, ground infrastructure, mission operations, communications networks, cloud environments, or enterprise information technology capabilities.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Lead the development and execution of the program's knowledge management strategy, standards, and governance processes.
- Develop, organize, and maintain centralized knowledge repositories, run-book libraries, technical documentation, and operational procedures.
- Administer and maintain knowledge management platforms including enterprise wikis, SharePoint, Confluence, ITSM knowledge bases, and related collaboration tools.
- Establish documentation standards, templates, review processes, and version control procedures to ensure consistency and quality.
- Coordinate with engineering, operations, cybersecurity, and program teams to capture technical knowledge, lessons learned, best practices, and operational procedures.
- Develop and maintain operational run-books, standard operating procedures (SOPs), troubleshooting guides, and implementation documentation.
- Support incident, problem, and change management processes by ensuring knowledge articles are created, reviewed, and updated following operational events.
- Monitor knowledge base usage, content quality, and documentation effectiveness, recommending improvements to increase usability and adoption.
- Support on-boarding, training, and knowledge transfer activities for program personnel.
- Prepare reports and metrics on knowledge management activities, documentation health, and repository utilization for program leadership.
Salary Range: $115,000.00 - $130,000.00
Minimum Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance (TS/SCI preferred depending on program requirements).
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Management, Business, Technical Communications, Library Science, or a related discipline. Equivalent experience may be considered.
- Minimum eight (8) years of experience supporting knowledge management, technical documentation, IT service management (ITSM), or operational support within government or enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated experience developing and managing enterprise knowledge bases, documentation repositories, or technical libraries.
- Experience creating and maintaining run-books, SOPs, knowledge articles, and operational documentation.
- Experience administering knowledge management platforms such as Confluence, SharePoint, ServiceNow Knowledge Management, or comparable collaboration tools.
- Strong understanding of ITSM processes including incident, problem, change, and service request management.
- Excellent technical writing, editing, and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and operational teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
- Ability to travel approximately 25% to support customer locations, workshops, and operational activities.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting Department of Defense, U.S. Space Force, Intelligence Community, or other classified government programs.
- Experience implementing knowledge management frameworks or ITIL knowledge management practices.
- Experience supporting engineering, mission operations, cloud platforms, DevSecOps, or enterprise IT organizations.
- Familiarity with Jira, ServiceNow, Git-based documentation platforms, or other ITSM and collaboration tools.
- Experience developing documentation governance, taxonomy, metadata standards, and content life-cycle processes.
- ITIL Foundation certification or other IT Service Management certification.
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
- Experience supporting onboarding, workforce development, and organizational knowledge transfer initiatives.
