Job Summary

The Counter Sales Associate is responsible for assisting customers by evaluating their product needs and recommending appropriate HVAC products and services. This role supports daily branch operations by maintaining inventory, stocking merchandise, assisting with deliveries, and providing excellent customer service. The Counter Sales Associate communicates product features, benefits, and warranty information while ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Job Responsibilities



  • Assist customers by evaluating their needs and recommending appropriate HVAC products and services.
  • Provide product information, including features, benefits, and warranty details.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and ensure shelves and stock areas are properly stocked.
  • Assist with unloading shipments and organizing incoming deliveries.
  • Support daily warehouse and counter sales operations.
  • Process customer transactions and maintain accurate records using computer systems.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all safety, health, security, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient branch operations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Job Requirements



  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • General knowledge of HVAC products and equipment required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic computer skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work an early morning schedule beginning at 6:00 AM until work is completed.


Education



  • High school diploma or GED required.
