Our Asset Development and Operations (ADO) Team

Worley Consulting's Asset Development and Operations team partners with customers to maximize value across the full asset lifecycle. We provide strategic, technical, and operational advisory services-from early-stage development and investment planning through to operations optimization, performance improvement, and asset repurposing. By combining deep industry expertise with data-driven insights, we help customers improve reliability, efficiency, and sustainability outcomes.

Purpose of the Role:

As a Director Advisory, Upstream and Midstream, you will work in collaboration with ADO and Worley businesses throughout North America to pursue, secure, and deliver projects with existing and new clients across energy, chemicals, and resources sectors, supporting both traditional and sustainability-related markets. This includes assets such as oil and gas facilities (upstream, midstream and downstream), refineries, petrochemical plants, power generation and renewable energy infrastructure, mining and minerals processing operations, and emerging low-carbon assets such as hydrogen, carbon capture and storage, and battery materials facilities.

The emphasis for this position will be to grow our executive level relationships with our Oil and Gas customers.

This is a full-time position, offering a flexible operating base within Worley Consulting, focused on driving client growth. The preferred candidate will be in the Houston region.

The qualified individual will come with a proven track record of delivering strategic solutions to C-Suite and senior executive stake holders. The preferred candidate will have provided this support as part of the client's organization.

Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Promote a culture of zero harm within the business.

  • Drive the ADO business development across North America supporting the business needs, by working with our client portfolio directors, project managers, and technical leads to grow our existing client base and pursue new clients.

  • Develop and grow the ADO business in the USA, targeting Worley's key hubs in Houston and US Gulf Coast, and additionally providing support and collaboration to colleagues and clients in Canada.

  • Support the development and implementation of ADO strategies that are consistent with the ADO strategic growth plans.

  • Developing business, winning work, and providing support to large bid teams, including presentations, negotiations, proposal preparation including, developing, and reviewing engineering cost estimates and schedules.

  • Participating actively and effectively in business developments such as presentations, negotiations, proposal preparation/writing etc.

  • Leadership including mentoring and coaching to staff on client development.

  • Direct and support ADO pursuits throughout the US and Canada, with a willingness to travel as needed for short term duration.

  • International travel may be required.

  • Integrate with multi-discipline engineering and geoscience professionals within Worley.

  • Prepare industry and client intelligence reports and forecasts and present to ADO Service Line management as required.

  • Present new opportunities to the ADO team.


What you need to Bring

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited institution plus appropriate continuing education in engineering, sciences, or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 10 years should be from within a client organization.

  • Existing executive level relationships in our client organizations

  • Proven track record of developing business, winning work and providing support to large bid teams, preparing proposals and developing engineering and capital cost estimates.

  • Demonstrate the ability to direct a multi-discipline team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated history of effective client engagement, relationships and management.

  • A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, excellent verbal and written communication skills in English with excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Self-starter, flexible, willing and able to work on a wide variety of tasks and to coordinate staff, previous successful experience in a team leadership role is an asset.

  • Strong level of commercial acumen, including contract review and management
