This role is responsible for improving production efficiency, increasing manufacturing capacity, optimizing facility layouts, implementing automation, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives that drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.

Working closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations, the Industrial Engineer develops manufacturing solutions that enable efficient, repeatable, and scalable production while supporting Central Power's commitment to first-class customer support.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and implement manufacturing and assembly processes for generator systems and related products.
  • Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, and Controls Engineers to ensure designs support efficient manufacturing and assembly (DFM/DFA).
  • Lead prototype builds, pilot production, and new product introductions to ensure manufacturing readiness.
  • Support capacity planning, production expansion, and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Develop and optimize manufacturing layouts, workstation designs, material flow, and line balancing to maximize productivity.
  • Design and implement efficient manufacturing workflows that improve safety, quality, and throughput.
  • Identify tooling, fixtures, equipment, and automation opportunities to improve manufacturing performance.
  • Partner with internal teams and outside vendors to develop and implement tooling, automation, and production equipment.
  • Evaluate manufacturing investments through cost analysis and return-on-investment (ROI) studies.
  • Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, improve process capability, and reduce waste.
  • Support quality initiatives including Design of Experiments (DOE), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Gage R&R studies, process validation, and corrective actions.
  • Define manufacturing data requirements and support integration with ERP, MRP, and MES systems.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Quality teams to support supplier development and manufacturing readiness.
  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, Kaizen, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Maintain engineering documentation, process standards, work instructions, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies, quality standards, and engineering best practices.
  • Perform additional engineering responsibilities as assigned.

What Makes You Successful
