Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
The mission of the School of Social Work is to advance equity, transform systems, improve lives. The School's curriculum supports the mission and recognizes the uniqueness of the region served, including concerns for disadvantaged, vulnerable, and oppressed individuals, families and communities. Classes provide rigorous and evidence-based content, and give students the opportunity to explore theory, learn intervention skills and engage in challenging dialogue with colleagues.

The INSPIRED Lab recently received funding for a three-year project to develop, implement, and evaluate a school based behavioral health prevention intervention for middle school students. The project will be conducted in collaboration with participating schools, community agencies, state partners, youth and adult advisory councils, and UNC research and evaluation personnel.
Position Summary
The UNC School of Social Work invites applications for an Adjunct Assistant Professor to serve as a part-time Project Manager supporting a three-year, school-based behavioral health prevention initiative within the INSPIRED Lab. In this role, the Adjunct Assistant Professor will provide leadership and oversight for the day-to-day coordination and implementation of the project, working closely with the Principal Investigator, Project Coordinator, Lead Interventionist, Lead Evaluator, and a broad network of collaborators including school personnel, community partners, and state agencies. Responsibilities include maintaining the overall project timeline; coordinating activities across participating schools and partner organizations; monitoring progress toward implementation, evaluation, and engagement milestones; supervising key project personnel; and proactively identifying and resolving operational challenges.
