JOB SUMMARY
The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) is a non-profit, bipartisan public policy organization established in 1962 to provide strategic insights and practical policy solutions to decision makers concerned with global security and prosperity. Over the years, it has grown to be one of the largest organizations of its kind, with a staff of some 275 employees, including more than 120 analysts working to address the changing dynamics of international security across the globe. The CSIS Middle East program is currently seeking candidates for afull-time,paidresearch associate.The CSIS Middle East Programseeksa creative, intellectually curious, and highly motivated individual to support the Program's research agenda in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.The successful candidate will be a strong writer, critical thinker, and team player withdemonstratedskills in research, dataanalyticsandvisualization;andinterest in Middle East affairs. The position reports directly to theDirectorof the Middle East Program. The successful candidate willpossessa strong academic foundation in Middle East studies, international relations, political science, or a related field, as well as excellent analytical and research skills. She/he will be comfortable working independently and collaboratively tosupporttheproduction ofhigh-quality, data-drivenwritten productsandpolicy-relevant research. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple research projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.
