As a true greenfield initiative, it offers a unique opportunity to help design, build, and launch a world-class biologics manufacturing facility from the ground up while working within a diverse international team spanning the United States and Europe.

We are looking for a Process Automation Lead who is collaborative, innovative and detail-oriented to join us in our Internal Manufacturing team. This position is based in Atlanta, Georgia and requires domestic & international travel.

About the role

This role is contributing to the design and delivery of a future-ready biologics manufacturing facility. You will ensure that automation systems and industrial IT infrastructure are aligned with manufacturing needs. You will contribute to the design of a compliant and efficient facility by translating operational requirements into robust automation solutions in a rapidly evolving project environment.

Who you'll work with

You will be working in a team that collaborates closely with manufacturing sites, engineering partners and cross-functional stakeholders. Together, you will ensure automation solutions support efficient, safe and compliant manufacturing operations working across different time zones.

What you'll do

  • Represent automation and industrial IT topics within project discussions.
  • Translate manufacturing needs into automation and system requirements.
  • Review and assess technical documentation related to automation systems.
  • Ensure alignment between automation solutions and operational needs.
  • Contribute to the integration of digital and future-ready manufacturing technologies.
  • Promote strong quality, safety and compliance standards.

Interested? For this role we're looking for the following education, experience and skills

Mandatory requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial automation, ideally within biopharmaceutical or other regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Strong expertise in automation systems (PLC/DCS/SCADA) and industrial IT, with the ability to quickly adapt to different platforms (e.g. Siemens, Emerson, Allen-Bradley).
  • Proven experience contributing to large-scale engineering, infrastructure, or transformation projects in industrial settings.
  • Deep technical understanding of automation, with the ability to challenge concepts, structure solutions, and act as a true subject matter expert.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex technical data into pragmatic and scalable solutions.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken); French is an asset.
  • Availability to travel occasionally to the United States during early project phases (conceptual and basic design).

Strong plus

  • Background in biotechnology or pharmaceutical manufacturing (GMP environment) is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact across engineering, IT, and manufacturing teams.
  • Natural curiosity and passion for automation, with the ability to discuss, explain, and debate technical topics in depth.
  • High adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, evolving project environment with shifting priorities.
  • Experience working in international and cross-functional project teams.

The reasonably anticipated salary range for this position is $ 125.600 - 194,300 per year. The actual salary offered will take into account related knowledge, skills, experience and location among other factors and may fall outside the expected range.
