Job Purpose
Technician position for New England Telecommunications Operations Center (NETOC) in Northboro, MA. This technical position will work hand in glove with the New England Telecom field technicians to ensure reliable operations of the critical communications systems required for National Grid to operate and maintain the distribution and transmission network. This position is based out of our Northboro facility and will fall in line with Worcester Telecom technicians' work schedule. This position will be responsible to install, update, configure and maintain all current and future critical telecommunications systems, to include but not limited to; RF systems, fiber optics hardware and control systems, SCADA backhaul infrastructure, truck radio systems as well as the associated test equipment.
