I&E Technician (Temporary-to-Hire)

Location: Conroe, TX

Pay Rate: Approximately $50.00/hour

Advantage Technical is seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Technician for a temporary-to-hire opportunity in Conroe, TX. In this role, you will support manufacturing and maintenance operations by troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, and maintaining instrumentation, control systems, analyzers, and electrical equipment in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot process analyzers, instrumentation, and electrical systems.
• Perform calibration, repair, and preventive maintenance on flow, pressure, level, and temperature instruments.
• Support PLC, DCS, and Instrumented Protective Systems (IPS) maintenance and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot control valves, transmitters, motors, drives, and related equipment.
• Assist with control system modifications, plant projects, FAT/SAT testing, and system improvements.
• Document maintenance activities and work orders using SAP.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Instrumentation Technology, trade school certification, or equivalent technical training preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial instrumentation experience.
• Experience with PLC and DCS platforms, including Allen Bradley, Modicon, Triconex, DeltaV, Honeywell, or Yokogawa.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with instrumentation, analyzers, control valves, and electrical equipment.
• Experience using calibration and diagnostic tools.
