DESCRIPTION

The Eating Disorders Clinic Manager provides frontline operational leadership within the UC San Diego Health Eating Disorders Clinic. This role is responsible for coordinating daily clinic operations, supervising nursing, dietary, kitchen, and administrative staff, and ensuring exceptional patient-centered care for individuals with eating disorders. The Manager supports a multidisciplinary care model, promotes access to timely services, and helps maintain a safe, compassionate, and efficient clinical environment.

This position plays a critical role in optimizing patient flow, supporting care coordination, enhancing patient experience, and ensuring adherence to UCSD Health policies, regulatory standards, and best practices in behavioral health and ambulatory care.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.

  • Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license.

  • BLS certification at the time of hire, with commitment to obtain BART certification within six (6) months of hire.

  • Seven (7) or more years of relevant eating disorder experience.

  • Strong clinic / center patient care management skills. Practice management knowledge in scheduling, customer-service methods, regulatory compliance, accreditation requirements, and / or information technology. Broad knowledge of patient population served and the requirements for the delivery of services.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to create and maintain a climate for effective communication and collaborative decision making.

  • Strong leadership, fiscal, and operations management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, management, and staff from all disciplines. Ability to create and maintain a goal-oriented climate of teamwork, collaboration, and consistent achievement of objectives.

  • Knowledge of relevant healthcare information technology and patient care workflows and processes.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, as well as related legislative, accreditation, licensing, and compliance environments.

  • Proven ability to organize, manage multiple priorities, and delegate work functions efficiently.

  • Knowledge of current and emerging best practices and technologies in the clinic / center healthcare industry.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN), Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related healthcare field.

*Experience as a Supervisor/Manager for a clinic.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $149,700 - $297,700 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $71.70 - $142.58

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
